Tundra Engineering Ltd. was started in May 1994 by the current President, a Project Technologist and a Designer/Draftsman. Initially we worked with one client providing project management and engineering design services on shallow gas compression projects. These initial projects were extremely time and cost sensitive because at that time natural gas was selling for about a $1/MCF. Our successful project execution strategies and technical excellence soon brought other clients to our doors. At the end of the first year we had executed about twenty million dollars in capital projects with multiple clients and a staff of seven.

At the end of the third year of operation we were continuously installing compression, designing multiple gas plants, oil batteries and multi-well gas gathering systems both sweet and sour. At the same time we were in the field optimizing client operations where possible. With the success of these projects our clients became successful. Our clients grew as did Tundra. We continued to grow our technical resources while staying focused on tight cost control and providing our clients with appropriate engineering solutions.

As we grew we realized we were a human resources based professional organization more so than just an engineering company. We needed to maintain a strong management team with a clear vision of what we were to become. To this end Tundra Engineering Associates Ltd. was created in 2005 to allow employee shareholders to participate and ensure the longevity of Tundra.

Today in our fifteenth year of operations we are a multi-discipline client team focused organization. We have embraced technical challenges with innovative process designs through to the 3D design models which we now produce. We look forward to many more years of meeting our client’s needs and enjoying doing it!
